Groove Dock - Jazz To Dance!
The summer edition of our dance party will premiere with two new DJs! Musician and promoter Louis B will arrive from Liverpool, England, and DJ Alberto will represent the domestic jazz-funk scene. Of course, resident Mr. Ultrafino will also be present.
Louis B – originally from Liverpool, Louis has spent many years teaching in the daytime and playing jazz, funk, soul, disco, and afrobeat in the night. He is a resident of clubs in the UK, Japan, and Cape Town. Louis's research and audio projects pursue acts and existential practices that seek the transformative in the everyday.
DJ Alberto – Albert Prachovský is a vinyl selector whose musical range spans jazz, funk, soul, and disco, with a particular focus on the Brazilian and Japanese music scenes. He is a member of the DJ crew Phono Squadron. Apart from DJing he is an active saxophonist and a member of ensembles such as Artia Saxophone Quartet, Gasoline Rainbow, and Big Evr Band.
Mr. Ultrafino – Groove Dock resident, co-creator of Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experiences. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz but they might be just as well spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre.
Admission for sitting 450 CZK, for standing 250 CZK. It is no longer necessary to reserve a seat when purchasing a seated ticket. To reserve a specific seat, please write your request in the note when purchasing the ticket. Fulfillment of the request cannot be guaranteed.
