Kristina Barta “Red Landscape” ft. Petra Brabencová
The Czech pianist whose performances have been described as "fiery, expressive, eloquent, and stubborn." With international recognition as a composer and pianist, Barta has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Her concerts bring a unique blend of classical training and jazz innovation, standing out at prestigious festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazzahead!, and many others. A new project presented by Kristina Barta and her quartet, joined by guest vocalist Petra Brabencová, promises a unique fusion of modern jazz with elements of Czech historical and cultural identity. The project will feature original compositions exploring the theme of crossing boundaries, as well as new arrangements of well-known songs—including the legendary “Prayer for Marta,” a symbol of Czech resistance against occupation.
