Logan Richardson & Blues People (USA)

Logan Richardson & Blues People (USA)

Wednesday 04/02/2026 from 20:00

Logan Richardson is an American alto saxophonist whose sound is often described as “singing” – his saxophone resonates more like a lead voice than just an instrument. In this concert, he presents his project Blues People, inspired by the book of the same name by Amiri Baraka, blending Kansas City blues, rock ’n’ roll, soul, and avant-garde elements into a distinctive musical universe. On the album Blues People, Richardson surrounds himself with a new generation of musicians (guitarists, bassist, drummer) to explore their roots while creating futuristic soundscapes. His compositions fuse genres powerfully, sometimes even turbulently – yet always with a strong melodic sense that holds everything together. Born and raised in Kansas City, Richardson grew up surrounded by R&B, gospel, and jazz. He began performing professionally at a young age and later moved to New York, where he studied and launched his international career as a deeply expressive artist. With his singular vision and sound, he stands among the most fascinating figures in contemporary jazz today.

Logan Richardson – sax; Miles Lennox – synt; Javier Santiago – synt; Frescia Belmar – b; Ronald Bruner Jr.
