Lynne Arriale Trio
Lynne Arriale, hailed by The Guardian as “one of the most exciting pianists in contemporary jazz,” has performed on the world’s most prestigious stages for over 30 years. JazzTimes, Jazz Journal, and Jazz Police have praised her uniquely expressive voice, with the latter calling her “the poet laureate of her generation.” A winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition, she has toured and recorded with legends like Tommy Flanagan, Kenny Barron, Randy Brecker, George Mraz, and Benny Golson. With 17 critically acclaimed albums, several topping the JazzWeek charts, Arriale’s most recent release, Being Human (2024), was featured on multiple “Best of the Year” lists (DownBeat, All About Jazz, Textura, ArtsFuse) and received multiple four-star reviews. Her work often reflects pressing social issues, including migration, the pandemic, and human rights. She has performed at major international festivals from Montreux to Monterey and toured extensively across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia. A Yamaha Artist and Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of North Florida, Arriale is also a highly respected educator and frequent media guest, appearing on NPR, BBC, CNN, and in The New Yorker, among others.
