Maseli/Balzar/Šoltis Trio
A unique international project brings together three outstanding figures of the European jazz scene – electronic vibraphonist Bernard Maseli, bassist Robert Balzar, and drummer Daniel Šoltis. Their repertoire consists of original compositions on the border of modern jazz and fusion, enriched by a wide range of electronic effects applied to both vibraphone and bass. The result is energetic, colorful music offering a fresh perspective on contemporary jazz. Bernard Maseli is a legend of Polish fusion jazz, a longtime member of the groups Walk Away and the Dean Brown Band, a Yamaha Corporation artist, and a professor at the Jazz Academy in Katowice. In 2025, he received Poland’s most prestigious music award – the Złoty Fryderyk. He has collaborated with artists such as Bennie Maupin, Nigel Kennedy, Tomasz Stańko, and Michał Urbaniak. Robert Balzar is best known for his long-term collaboration with Dan Bárta and the band J.A.R. He also leads his own trio and is regarded as one of the top Czech double bassists. Daniel Šoltis is a member of Vertigo, minus123minut, and many other projects, known for his creative and dynamic drumming.
