Otto Hejnic Trio
ft. Alan Bartuš & Conway Campbell jr.
Otto Hejnic Trio has been active since 2009, releasing five successful albums, earning a critics’ award for Best Album, receiving excellent reviews, and performing internationally — including concerts overseas. This is a classic piano trio led by a drummer. The diversity of OH3’s recordings ranges from original compositions to jazz standards and even film melodies, such as those featured on the album Beauties. For the upcoming summer tour, Hejnic is joined by two outstanding, established New York musicians: pianist Alan Bartuš and double bassist Conway Campbell Jr. Audiences can look forward to a completely new program.
What the critics say: Jazzport: “…a truly exceptional achievement in Czech-Slovak jazz…”
Muzikus: “…the compositions are imaginative, maturely crafted, and create a unique atmosphere…”
Lubomír Dorůžka, MF Dnes: “The album One simply brings a fresh new sound to the broad spectrum of today’s jazz scene… Otto Hejnic is a drummer who knows what he wants and knows how to achieve it…”
