For one evening, Prague will become a center of saxophone artistry. The Jazz Dock stage will host leading figures of the Czech and international scene – legendary Jiří Stivín, British saxophonist and arranger Andy Schofield, Suzanne Higgins, Petr Kalfus, and the duo of Marcel Bárta with pianist Vojtěch Procházka. The program will span a wide range of contemporary jazz: original compositions, fusion, improvisation, and uniquely reimagined jazz standards. Each musician will present a personal approach to the saxophone, and together they will create an evening that bridges styles and generations. The Prague Saxophone Summit will thus bring a meeting of top soloists and their musical interaction. The concert will close with the trio of saxophonist Petr Kalfus, featuring Jan Andr on Hammond organ and Tomáš Hobzek on drums.
