Spinus Q
The band mainly performs original songs written by pianist Jakub Čížek and singer Hana Váchová, based on catchy melodies with English and Czech lyrics. The repertoire also includes adapted jazz standards and original instrumental compositions by other band members. Spinus Q was founded by Jakub Čížek together with Hana Váchová, and he gradually approached his classmates from the J. Ježek College of Music to create a unique intergenerational connection of musicians who love jazz and other genres. In 2024, the band released their first album “Svítá”.
