Kobe-born, Brooklyn-based trumpeter Takuya Kuroda returns with his eighth studio album, "Everyday" — a vibrant fusion of hip hop, neo-soul, and jazz. Since 2022’s "Midnight Crisp", praised as a “future classic,” Kuroda has remained laser-focused, honing his craft daily in pursuit of the perfect balance between production and live feel. Over two decades in the U.S., he’s studied at The New School, worked with DJ Premier’s Badder Band and Akoya Afrobeat, and released albums on Blue Note and Concord. But for Kuroda, it’s simple:

“The only way to make the music I want is to work hard, every day.” That ethos pulses through "Everyday" — not just as title, but as rhythm, discipline, and aesthetic. Built on the propulsive drumming of David Frazier, the album flows with groove-forward tracks that sparkle with lyrical trumpet lines, lush keys, and standout moments like the neo-soul gem “Bad Bye” featuring FiJa, or “Curiosity,” where Kuroda switches to flugelhorn. Deeply personal yet widely accessible, Everyday blends tradition and modernity into something unmistakably Kuroda — music that’s thoughtful, soulful, and alive with rhythm.
