Voilà!
Concerts by Voilà! are a small musical journey through France. The timbre of Zdenka Trvalcová’s voice evokes the era when Edith Piaf sang in the streets of Paris. It is no coincidence that Zdenka portrayed this legendary singer for several years in the musical Edith Piaf – The Little Sparrow from the Suburbs.
In a five-piece line-up with guitarist and singer Tibor Žida, accordionist Ondřej Kabrna, double bassist Josef Fečo and drummer Jan Chalupa, the band focuses not only on arrangements of well-known French songs, but also on original music that honours the tradition of French jazz manouche. Their own songs blend French chanson and swing, enriched by a wide range of other musical influences. At their Jazz Dock concert, the band will also present songs from their latest album "Stories From My Paris".
