Zorba Že Ja Buddha
Zorba že ja Buddha is an original Czech music project founded by bassist Ondřej Hauser and Slovak-American singer Ashley Abrman, who met while studying at the conservatory. Their music blends alternative jazz, electronic music, hip hop and free improvisation into a distinctive and genre-crossing sound. Their debut EP Rosedoud Lambada was released in 2017 on the Gergaz label and introduced an original repertoire built on strong grooves, experimental arrangements and cinematic atmospheres. In 2021 the band released their full-length album Organ Chaos, featuring collaborations with renowned Czech jazz and alternative musicians such as Igor Ochepovsky, Petr Kalfus, Miroslav Hloucal and Pavel Zlámal. Their live performances combine energetic improvisation, electronics and expressive vocals into an intense concert experience.
